The Hotel Finca Escalante!
The moment you walk into Finca Escalante, you will feel right at home and become part of the family! You will also notice the historical value that this building has. The property used to be the home of ex president Rafael Ángel Calderón Guardia, who signed the individual rights bill right there. Today, it has become the home away from home of many travellers from all over the world.
Since the start of Finca Escalante in October 2017, we have been very passionate about our guests and we understand the needs of a traveler. Because of this our friendly and knowledgeable staff is committed to going above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. We are more than happy to give you tips and recommendations on where to go and what to eat.
We offer various types of accommodations, from private deluxe rooms to fully equipped dorms, so you are sure to find something that suits you. In total we have eleven private rooms, two mixed dorms that sleep 4 and 8 people and one female dorm that sleeps 6 people. Furthermore there are three shared showers and two toilets.
Wake up to the smell of the best coffee in the world (farmed in San Gerardo de Dota, Costa Rica). Barrio Escalante used to be a coffee plantation, so it just makes it a bit more special. Take out your coffee and pancakes or toast (or both!) for breakfast into the morning sun in our garden and start your day off right.
At Finca Escalante you will experience the pura vida and get the rest you deserve before or after a long journey.
